Drug Distribution Center
The Purdue University LAP Drug Distribution Center (LAPDDC) serves as a source of supply for the Office of Research and Laboratory Animal Program animal researchers regarding commonly used drugs and supplies in animal use such as testing and analgesia agents.
Gnotobiotic Facility
Purdue offers a mouse gnotobiotic facility including 10 breeding isolators holding up to 16 cages each, and 12 experimental isolators holding up to 5 cages each. Two gnotobiotic IVC racks are available for experimental use as well. CMAF manages the space and performs all experimental manipulations to ensure minimal chances for contamination. Mice may be ordered or may be purchased from CMAF’s gnotobiotic colony of B6 mice originating from UNC.

LAP Technical Services and Equipment Rental
LAP veterinary technicians are available to assist with studies (dosing, monitoring, etc) at a rate of $49.53/hr, billed in 30 minute increments.
The following equipment is available to rent from LAP for a fee:
- Butterfly Ultrasound : $20/use day
- Tattoo machine: $20/use day
- InVivo rodent X-ray: $50/use day
- CODA non-invasive rodent blood pressure device: $50/use day
*A late fee of $22.20/day will be accrued for equipment (including anesthesia boxes) that is not returned within 24 hours of checkout.
